Jion is one of about sixty failed experimental specimens created in a lab by a special division of the United States Army during the blandly-named Project Planaria. A human with planaria genes spliced into his DNA, he was meant to be become an implacable soldier who could recover from any sort of injury, no matter how severe -- and while he does have those healing abilities, his body can't turn off that regenerative ability, either. His body very frequently produces extra internal organs and a tremendous amount of blood, and also ages four times faster than normal. The army, realizing these defective end results couldn't fulfill their original purposes but were also worth too much to sweep under the rug, decided to repurpose the products of Project Planaria into front-line medics that also serve as living organ-and-blood farms. Jion's latest deployment was to a camp near Vanadzor, Armenia. Though very aware that he's an incredibly abnormal and defective organism, Jion is sincerely friendly and quite soft-hearted, with a genuine interest in other people's stories and well-being, as well as an enthusiastic appreciation for new sights and experiences. The only thing he fears is dying without anyone to remember him, and so he tries his very hardest to leave a positive impression on people. He's decided to take his own circumstances into stride as best as possible and live every day to the best of his abilities. |
