Official terms:
- Rapid Self-Replenishing Donor Unit (RSRDU)
- Engineered unit/personnel -- umbrella term for experimentally created individuals
- MOS 68W1Y9, Specialist, Y9 is the additional skill identifier for Planaria medics

Colloquial terms:
- Meattank
- Terminator (for being implacable, rather than destructive)

Kidney, liver, lungs, pancreas, intestine and thymus are produced very frequently, at the very least once every two weeks, more commonly once a week. Hearts are rarer; extras are produced roughly once every two or three weeks. In a very dire situation, Jion can use one of his own and subsist on two hearts until he recovers, but will be out of commission the day of removal, and be much more tired and sluggish for the next two or so weeks.

Tendons, skin, nerves, veins, bone and muscle tissue can be taken on a as-needed basis and will usually regenerate over-night, depending on the amount taken. Heart valves can be donated, but Jion's physical condition will be somewhat compromised the following day. Jion doesn't produce "extras" of these and only re-grows what's been taken from him.

Corneal tissue takes up to two weeks to regenerate, and Jion's sight is severely compromised in the meantime; he's only had the procedure done once, when he was much younger, and doesn't consider it a viable option under most circumstances. Again, no extras of these.

Giving 2.5L of blood daily, taken in two batches (three and two packets of 500mL each) with six hours in between batches allows Jion to remain functional with no effect on his physical condition. Giving 2.5L all in one go will result in three or four hours of light-headedness and weakness afterward. He can lose up to 4L in one go, but will be severely weakened and won't be able to move around much for (roughly) the following 24-hour period. The numbers aren't exact, but Jion can pinpoint how much blood he's lost with reasonable accuracy by gauging his physical condition.

A total of 625 planaria embryos were created -- first 15, then 10 batches of 25 each, totalling 625. Of those, 58 survived, meaning a final yield of about 10%. The low yield of viable specimens was kind of the final straw in ending the production of more planaria children, especially given their (apparent) lack of healing abilities.

Planaria children do have codenumbers that correspond to their "product number," i.e. what batch they're from. However, because the planaria specimens would ultimately be deployed alongside regular soldiers even in a worst-case scenario, they had to be socialized properly, and were thus assigned regular names. Names were assigned based on their codenumbers. The initial of their surname is based on the batch number, and the initial of their given name is based on their placement within the batch. Names were then picked by the scientists based on these initials; some children do have more romantic or unusual names while others have more common names, there's no real meaning behind who gets what kind of name.

Jion's codenumber is 8-10, number 10 from batch 8. Thus his name was selected to fit the initials H-J.

Despite his generally flighty manner of speech, Jion is (perhaps a little surprisingly) quite proper when it comes to typing. His internet access was always limited to (controlled) consumption only, no contributing to anything, no outgoing traffic allowed, so the only typing he's ever done was for studying and writing reports. As a result, he's pretty unused to writing out any internet slang for himself, and tends to default to correct grammar and proper punctuation like he would use in reports.
